1. Who we are
OptionScience.com is an educational research platform focused on systematic Indian equity and F&O market studies. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we store it, and what rights you have over it.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, and password hash provided at signup; optional profile information.
- Authentication data — session tokens issued by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Purchase data — order ID, payment ID, product, amount, currency, and status returned by Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers, UPI handles, or banking credentials.
- Compliance acknowledgements — record of the educational-use, Terms, Risk Disclosure, and Refund Policy consents you ticked, with timestamp.
- Usage data — basic logs (page views, errors) used to keep the site reliable.
3. How we use your information
To create and protect your account, deliver purchased educational reports, verify and reconcile payments, send transactional emails (verification, receipts, password reset), maintain compliance audit trails, and improve site reliability.
4. Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of contract (account & purchase fulfilment), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and consent (marketing emails, if you opt in).
5. Sharing
We share the minimum data required with: Razorpay (payment processing), Supabase (authentication & database hosting), and email infrastructure providers (transactional email). We do not sell personal data.
6. Data retention
Account and purchase records are retained while your account is active and for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting laws. You may request deletion of optional profile data at any time.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed at the authentication provider. Payment information is handled by Razorpay over TLS. Access to paid research is verified server-side against the purchases ledger; no protected content is unlocked from browser-only storage.
8. Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw marketing consent, by writing to support@optionscience.com. Some data (e.g. payment records, compliance acknowledgements) may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies / local storage to keep you signed in. Analytics, if enabled, is limited to aggregate behaviour and never used to identify individuals.
10. Children
OptionScience is not directed at users under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Updates
We may update this policy as our product evolves. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
